In our case then, what would we equate this to? Are there moments we loose breath, encounter a stitch or trip?
Have we stopped to make an assessment of what the cause for these could be? Every time I'm left behind on the reading schedule I've always come up with an excuse - been busy, no time, et al! Is that really the case or could there be a deeper reason?
Let me hear you...
I had those moments, esp when we had started off with the Book of Isaiah. I was so breathless, i almost gave up!! I think i must have fainted alog the way, but God lifted me up.
ReplyDeleteOne thing is for sure here, the devil is not happy with anyone who is seeks God, so, whatever that comes our way, that discourages us from continuing with the marathon is an attack from the devil himself? Too spiritual, maybe? But thats just it.

ReplyDeleteI hear you all:
ReplyDeleteIsaiah has been quite some. Am loving 1Samuel: and am sure it is only because of David. Judges too was quite a hurdle.
No one said that the race would be easy: but one thing is for sure: God has not brought us this far to leave us hanging.
So as we fight the good fight, Let us keep keeping on. We can fall, wipe the sweat offour brows, but as long as we dust ourselves and get up and keep running.
AMEN
Just thought that I would say that!
